The winners of the Munch and Deichman architectural design competitions were announced on Friday 27 March. The design “Lambda” by Spanish architecture firm Herreros Architectos was the jury’s choice for the new Munch/Stenersen museum, while Norwegian firms Lund Hagem Arkitekter AS og Atelier Oslo AS won first place with ”Diagonale”, their submission for the new Deichman Library.

The jury was unanimous in both cases, although the final decision about which two projects should be realised lies with The City Council in Oslo. The exhibition with all 39 design submission is open to the public at The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design until Sunday 29 March.
