On October 5 2009, Oslo Medtech Network were awarded ARENA-status, which means financial and advisory support is secured for the next three years to cover running the administration of, as well as a high level of activity in, the network.
ARENA is a national programme for long term development of regional business clusters, owned by Innovation Norway, the Research Council of Norway and SIVA.
A delighted Kathrine Myhre, who is the interim manager at Oslo Medtech Network, said:
- We believe this status will foster even more cooperation between the health sector and medtech companies, and help realise the enormous potential of the medtech sector in Oslo. We also look forward to working with networks in other parts of Norway, for example in Trondheim, and internationally.
