Oslo ICT Network at international conference

The leader of Oslo ICT Network, Mr Bjarte Frøyland, will be in the Netherlands on 24-25 September 2009 to talk about the ICT cluster and innovation in eHealth at the international conference Shaping Science Based Clusters in Wageningen.

The ICT sector is one of many areas in which it has become clear that working together in clusters is the way forward. The concept enhances the opportunities to convert innovative science and technology into products, services and new business.

Frøyland will give a Best Practice presentation based on experience in eHealth innovation activities within the Oslo ICT Network, and how to adjust to professional and governmental conservatism in cluster networking practices. The establishment of Norwegian Health and IT Innovation Network (NHIIN) as a member’s organisation will be used as a case study to show the successful partnership between public and private partners across the health sector, such as technology suppliers, health service providers and policy makers.

- This seminar will secure a useful exchange of experience between science based clusters internationally. Oslo ICT Network is participating in order to learn and to share our own knowledge in that respect, says Bjarte Frøyland.

The conference will focus on different ways of working together in science based clusters, how this work can be shaped, and best practice in various settings and environments.
